CloseWavecast is appointed by New Statesman Media Group as its exclusive solution provider for major virtual events in 2021.
Commenting on the agreement, Sara Donaldson, events director at New Statesman Media Group, said: “We are thrilled to confirm Wavecast as our exclusive provider of virtual events for our key online conferences. Their ability to provide great technology alongside a really dedicated team of professionals that are as passionate about our events as we are is pretty unique.”
Among the events hosted on the Wavecast solution is Making Sense of Net Zero, an exclusive global event series that will convene over 2000 attendees in the lead up to the UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26).
In addition, Wavecast hosted The Future of Media Technology Series by Press Gazette, broadcasts to help media organisations lead, innovate, and capitalise on technological transformation.
New Statesman Media Group required a solution that could support 4 events across 14 event days of various sizes from across multiple brands in it’s media portfolio. Additionally, each event required the use of different features - according to different networking, agenda and sponsor experiences.
Wavecast’s white-labelled event hubs were well-suited to provide the flexibility of a native digital experience; once brand assets were provided, the team supported the build of each fully-branded event website.
The calendar featured a mix of online and hybrid events. Wavecast’s in-house production team supported in both instances, providing full run-of-show planning and preparation, and live experience on the day through Wavecast Virtual Studio. At the hybrid events, the on-site AV provider was supported by Wavecast broadcast technicians monitoring the live event experience for the remote audience.
