Case Study: Mergermarket M&A Explorer

Mergermarket and White & Case, supported by Wavecast design capability, deliver an industry first. 

Wavecast was commissioned by Mergermarket, a global news and data provider on mergers and acquisitions, to launch a bespoke interactive research tool for its client White & Case.

The M&A Explorer was the first free, interactive research tool of its kind. It allowed users to examine data and build, visualise and download custom charts on global mergers & acquisitions (M&A) trends.  

The Explorer makes use of Wavecast’s capability to support clients with bespoke digital design briefs. The tool references over 10 years of Mergermarket data, allowing users to search by a range of criteria including date, geography and sector. The custom charts can be easily downloaded, shared via social media and embedded in websites. Users can also sign up to receive alerts when new data is available at the start of each quarter. 

The M&A Explorer was the first time market data from Mergermarket had been visualised in an interactive format. 

Wavecast was closely involved from concept to brief and development to delivery. 

Insights produced featuring the data are promoted across web, social, email and search.
